El an\u00e1lisis inicial del problema se basa en la tradicional descomposici\u00f3n del espectro en el dominio de la frecuencia, sin embargo, se introducen una serie de nuevas terminolog\u00edas y conceptos dise\u00f1ados para tratar de forma espec\u00edfica la complejidad inherente de la polifon\u00eda.      en concreto, se establece el estado de transcripci\u00f3n con la doble finalidad de:     1,- eliminar la necesidad de determinar de forma precisa el tiempo de inicio (onset) de cada nota, tal como han planteado otros investigadores en este tema.     2,- permitir la introducci\u00f3n de otra serie de nuevos conceptos -grupo de notas polif\u00f3nicas y resoluci\u00f3n de grupo de notas- que representan la base para el algoritmo que desarrollamos.     la justificaci\u00f3n de la hip\u00f3tesis defendida en este trabajo se hace de forma experimental, presentando la aplicaci\u00f3n del sistema propuesto a un conjunto de casos de prueba agrupados en base a diferentes criterios, lo suficientemente extenso para comprobar de forma estad\u00edstica la fiabilidad del algoritmo, y que consta de peque\u00f1os segmentos musicales elegidos entre un gran n\u00famero de grabaciones y partituras para piano.
