Se ha estudiado la caracterizaci\u00f3n y seguimiento de los principales componentes de la materia org\u00e1nica (materia org\u00e1nica total, materia nitrogenada, fracci\u00f3n lip\u00eddica y contaminantes org\u00e1nicos) en los fangos de depuradora y sus productos de postratamiento y en algunos casos en el pur\u00edn.  la materia org\u00e1nica total se ha estudiado mediante la aplicaci\u00f3n de t\u00e9cnicas degradativas como son la desorci\u00f3n t\u00e9rmica y la pirolisis acopladas a la cromatograf\u00eda de gases con diferentes tipos de detecci\u00f3n (ms, fid). Asimismo, se ha aplicado el an\u00e1lisis termogravim\u00e9trico (tga).  la fracci\u00f3n aminoac\u00eddica, pept\u00eddica\/proteica se ha estudiado mediante las t\u00e9cnicas hplc-fluorescencia, hplc-uv y electroforesis en gel de poliacrilamida con sds (sds-page) respectivamente.  la fracci\u00f3n lip\u00eddica se ha estudiado a trav\u00e9s de la formaci\u00f3n, evoluci\u00f3n, concentraci\u00f3n y toxicidad de los ticolestanoles y otros compuestos relacionados no descritos anteriormente en muestras de fango de depuradora. La determinaci\u00f3n se ha realizado utilizando t\u00e9cnicas anal\u00edticas cromatogr\u00e1ficas de hrgc con detectores ms, fdp y fid.  finalmente se ha evaluado el contenido y la evoluci\u00f3n de
