En esta tesis se proponen los mecanismos de captaci\u00f3n y transporte de zinc como dianas para el dise\u00f1o de nuevos antif\u00fangicos espec\u00edficos contra a. Fumigatus. Anteriormente se hab\u00eda demostrado que este oligoelemento es determinante para el crecimiento y desarrollo de hongo y que el ant\u00edgeno inmunodominante, aspf2, solamente se expresa en ausencia de zinc(*). se han clonado y secuenciado 3 genes (zrfa, zrfb y zrfc), que codifican para permeasas de membrana, pertenecientes a la familia de transportadores zip (zrt, irt-like protein). Zrfc es la \u00fanica de ellas que parece tener dominios de uni\u00f3n a zinc hacia el espacio extracelular. Si bien las tres formar\u00edan canales espec\u00edficos para el paso del zinc al interior de la c\u00e9lula.  la regulaci\u00f3n de la expresi\u00f3n de los genes zrfa, zrfb y zrfc depende tanto de la concentraci\u00f3n de zinc como del ph del medio. As\u00ed, aunque todos ellos se expresan solamente en medios limitantes en zinc, zrfa y zrfb lo hacen preferentemente en medios \u00e1cidos(**) y zrfc solamente en medios neutros o b\u00e1sicos. Este trabajo ha permitido determinar que el gen que codifica para aspf2 comparte el promotor con el gen zrfc y que tambi\u00e9n se expresa preferentemente en medios b\u00e1sicos limitantes en zinc. la deleci\u00f3n de los genes zrfa, zrfb y zrfc al un\u00edsono determina graves defectos en el crecimiento del hongo llegando a ser fatal en medios limitantes en zinc.
