A pesar de que el uso de medios inform\u00e1ticos fuerza la discretizaci\u00f3n de las se\u00f1ales, resulta m\u00e1s natural abordar el problema de detecci\u00f3n y diagn\u00f3stico de fallos sobre modelos en tiempo continuo con estad\u00edsticos tambi\u00e9n en tiempo continuo, para conseguir detecci\u00f3n y diagn\u00f3stico en tiempo real (on-line).  los esquemas de detecci\u00f3n y diagn\u00f3stico aqu\u00ed presentados consisten b\u00e1sicamente en la generaci\u00f3n de un residuo a partir del modelo del sistema, que se supone disponible, y su an\u00e1lisis posterior. Las herramientas estad\u00edsticas usadas para extraer del residuo informaci\u00f3n sobre el fallo son los contrastes de hip\u00f3tesis; se pueden construir contrastes diferentes a partir de estad\u00edsticos diferentes, dando lugar as\u00ed a distintos esquemas de detecci\u00f3n y diagn\u00f3stico, que ser\u00e1n caracterizados desde el punto de vista de su conveniencia para la detecci\u00f3n de distintos tipos de fallos. La regla de bayes, de uso habitual en clasificaci\u00f3n de patrones, es de gran ayuda tambi\u00e9n en una de las fases de diagn\u00f3stico, la del aislamiento del fallo.  la validaci\u00f3n de los m\u00e9todos presentados viene dada mediante distintos ejemplos de simulaci\u00f3n, en particular se estudia el caso de fallos en la fuente de voltaje de un circuito.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos
