En su segunda misi\u00f3n ams estar\u00e1 equipado con un detector cherenkov (rich), que ser\u00e1 capaz de medir la velocidad de las part\u00edculas con precisi\u00f3n a nivel de 1 por mil, permitiendo la separaci\u00f3n de is\u00f3topos ligeros en los rayos c\u00f3smicos en un amplio intervalo energ\u00e9tico. el objetivo de este trabajo es estudiar las capacidades del detector rich de ams-02 en la medida de la velocidad y carga el\u00e9ctrica de los rayos c\u00f3smicos en un amplio intervalo de carga. Para llevar a cabo este estudio se ha hecho uso tanto de herramientas de software, para la simulaci\u00f3n del detector en el espacio, como de datos reales tomados con un prototipo del rich. El c\u00f3digo de simulaci\u00f3n y reconstrucci\u00f3n desarrollado para el rich se ha validado con datos tomados con el prototipo, que ha operado en haces de iones en el acelerador sps del cern en 2002 y 2003. El an\u00e1lisis de las muestras recogidas en distintas configuraciones y la extrapolaci\u00f3n de los resultados obtenidos a la configuraci\u00f3n de vuelo forman la parte central de este trabajo. Los resultados de este an\u00e1lisis han permitido, entre otras cosas, elegir el material radiador para el dise\u00f1o final de rich.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la tesis
