Se ha caracterizado el flujo en el reactor loop dise\u00f1ado mediante ensayos de trazadores. El flujo en el reactor loop se asemeja al de un reactor de mezcla perfecta cuando la recirculacion es suficientemente elevada. Se ha desarrollado una formulacion al 55% en solidos para la copolimerizacion en emulsion de acetato de vinilo y veova10 suficientemente estable como para ser polimerizada en el reactor loop sin sufrir coagulacion inducida por cizalla. Se han estudiado diferentes estrategias de puesta en marcha del proceso de copolimerizacion. Se ha comparado el rendimiento del reactor loop con el de un reactor tanque continuo. Se ha comprobado la importancia de la micromezcla como controlante de la velocidad de difusion del monomero en el reactor loop. Se ha estudiado el efecto de las variables de operacion mas importantes del proceso (concentracion de iniciador, emulsificante, temperatura y tiempo de residencia), y se ha desarrollado un modelo de copolimerizacion aplicable en el reactor loop.
