Aporta una revisi\u00f3n hist\u00f3rica de la llamada \u00abescuela suiza\u00bb, subrayando la importancia de los 2 centros pedag\u00f3gicos m\u00e1s reconocidos: la escuela de oficios art\u00edsticos de zurich y la de basilea. mi estudio se sit\u00faa en el periodo de origen y cristalizaci\u00f3n del estilo suizo. Es decir, de la d\u00e9cada de los a\u00f1os cuarenta a los setenta, coincidiendo con las etapas m\u00e1s representativas de la actividad del profesor y tip\u00f3grafo emil ruder. Su obra magna, el manual de dise\u00f1o tipogr\u00e1fico, (actualmente en su 7a reedici\u00f3n) y sus doctrinas influir\u00edan a muchos dise\u00f1adores. como fuentes primarias de investigaci\u00f3n he recabado informaci\u00f3n en documentos oficiales del departamento de educaci\u00f3n suizo y en la escuela de dise\u00f1o de basilea. Mi tesis hace 3 tipos de aportaciones: el an\u00e1lisis de la obra, la filosof\u00eda docente y el pensamiento de emil ruder; la traducci\u00f3n del contenido m\u00e1s relevante de sus art\u00edculos;
