Jos\u00e9 <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>En la actualidad, la principal causa de morbi &#8211; mortalidad en espa\u00f1a es la enfermedad cardiovascular. Los trabajos gen\u00e9ticos realizados hasta ahora en poblaci\u00f3n espa\u00f1ola, se han centrado en el an\u00e1lisis de polimorfismos en genes candidatos para componentes cl\u00e1sicos del s\u00edndrome metab\u00f3lico (sm): obesidad, hipertensi\u00f3n, dislipemia. La importancia de estas alteraciones desde un punto de vista cardiovascular est\u00e1 bien establecida. Sin embargo existen otros componentes del s; que tambi\u00e9n confieren riesgo cardiovascular (hipofibrinolisis, disfunci\u00f3n endotelial, inflamaci\u00f3n) y dos que no disponemos de estudios que nos revelen en qu\u00e9 medida los genes involucrados en estas alteraciones se asocian con el fenotipo patol\u00f3gico en nuestra poblaci\u00f3n.  por este motivo nosotros hemos analizado polimorfismos en los genes que codifican para pai-1, enzima convertidora de angiotensina (eca), \u00f3xido n\u00edtrico sintasa endotelila (enos), prote\u00edna c &#8211; reactiva (pcr), tnf- alpha, adiponectina. Para llevar a cabo estos estudios, se analiz\u00f3 poblaci\u00f3n general extra\u00edda mediante nuestro aleatorio estratificado de un estudio transversal realizado en la provincia de segovia. Nuestros resultados indican que el genotipo 4g\/4g del polimorfismo 4g\/5g de pai-1 podr\u00eda asociarse con el desarrollo de una alteraci\u00f3n de la fibrinolisis, caracterizada por la presencia de niveles circulantes d epai-1 elevados y, en consecuencia, con un mayor riesgo de enfermedad cardiovascular. No se ha encontrado evidencia de que el consumo de tabaco tenga un efecto sobre la fibrinolisis dependiente del genotipo del polimorfismo 4g\/5g de pai-1. asimismo el genotipo 4g\/4g de pai-1 se asocia con una mayor preValencia de hipertensi\u00f3n arterial en aquellos sujetos que no muestran indicios de presentar alteraci\u00f3n de la fibrinolisis. Esta asociaci\u00f3n s independiente de otros factores metab\u00f3licos de riesgo para hipertensi\u00f3n arterial, as\u00ed como con el genotipo de polimorfismo i\/d de la eca.
