Los polimorfismos en genes de reparaci\u00f3n del adn estan asociados con la capacidad para reparar el da\u00f1o en el adn, por lo que podr\u00edan contribuir a aumentar el riesgo de desarrollar c\u00e1nceres asociados al tabaco. Los principales mecanismos de reparaci\u00f3n del adn son la reparaci\u00f3n por escisi\u00f3n de nucle\u00f3tidos (ner), la reparaci\u00f3n por escisi\u00f3n de bases (ber) y la reparaci\u00f3n de roturas en la doble cadena (dsbr). En este trabajo se ha investigado la relaci\u00f3n entre polimorfismos en dos genes ner: xpc (pat) y xpd (asp312asn y lys751gln), el gen ber xrcc1 (arg399gln) y el gen dsbr (thr241met) y el riesgo de desarrollar c\u00e1ncer de pulm\u00f3n en un estudio caso-control de base hospitalaria en el que se han recogido 516 casos incidentes de c\u00e1ncer de pulm\u00f3n y 533 controles apareados por edad, g\u00e9nero y \u00e1rea de residencia. Los diferentes genotipos se han determinado por pcr-rflp y los resultados se han analizado por regresi\u00f3n log\u00edstica no condicionada. Se ha encontrado asociaci\u00f3n significativa en los genes ner (xpc y xpd), mientras que no se encuentra asociaci\u00f3n para los genes ber y dsbr. Los genotipos xpd 312asn\/asn y xpc pat+\/+ se asocian con un incremento de desarrollar c\u00e1ncer de pulm\u00f3n (or ajustada: 1,58; ic 95%: 0,99-5,53 y or ajustada: 1,31; ic 95%: 0,90-1,92, respectivamente). En conclusi\u00f3n, nuestros resultados sugierenque los polimorfismos en genes implicados en el mecanismo de reparaci\u00f3n por escisi\u00f3n de nucle\u00f3tidos (ner) contribuyen a la susceptibilidad a desarrollar c\u00e1nce de pulm\u00f3n, mientras que no se observa asociaci\u00f3n en los genes implicados en los otros dos mecanismos de reparaci\u00f3n estudiados (ber y
