Se han realizado muchas investigaciones en ambos campos pero son escasos los estudios que correlacionan las propiedades intrinsecas de las neuronales con sus posibles implicaciones en la red cortical. El desarrollo de la neurociencia computacional ha puesto de manifiesto la imperiosa necesidad de interaccionar ambas areas de investigacion para el conocimiento global de como funciona el cerebro.  en este proyecto hemos aunado los estudios a nivel celular con una vision de la neurona integrada en la red cortical llevando a cabo funciones como la generacion de ritmos de sue\u00f1o, el procesamiento de la informacion visual o el desarrollo de la memoria.  dentro de las propiedades intrinsecas estudiamos corrientes ionicas cuya caracteristica comun es su curso temporal. Se trata de corrientes lentas tanto hiperpolarizantes (ahp) como despolarizantes (adp). Estas corrientes han sido poco estudiadas en la bibliograf\u00eda porque requieren para su activaci\u00f3n de intensas y largas descargas de potenciales de accion.  el estudio de estas corrientes de caracter lento ha permitido caracterizar el papel de las propiedades intrinsecas de las neuronas corticales en el procesamiento de los estimulos sensoriales que reciben y su comportamiento en la
