<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>En esta tesis se ha realizado un completo estudio de las caracter\u00edsticas del canal radio a 40 ghz, incluyendo todos los mecanismos de propagaci\u00f3n que pueden afectar a correcto funcionamiento de un enlace multimedia wireless systema (mws), cuya banda de frecuencias se extiende desde 40,5 ghz hasta 43,5 ghz.     el principal objetivo dela tesis ha sido el sondeo y caracterizaci\u00f3n en banda ancha del rango de frecuencias de los 40 ghz, para lo cual se ha desarrollado un sistema de medida basado en el esquema stdcc, al cual se le han introducido modificaciones, tales como la supresi\u00f3n del factor de deslizamiento, para mejorar sus prestaciones, proporcionando una mayor capacidad para resolver componentes multitrayecto.     el estudio de la propagaci\u00f3n en banda milim\u00e9trica se ha llevado a cabo en entornos interiores y exteriores mediante diferentes campa\u00f1as de medida con el objetivo de analizar los efectos de propagaci\u00f3n.     en esta tesis tambi\u00e9n se ha caracterizado el apantallamiento mediante el c\u00e1lculo de diferentes factores de apantallamiento a partir de los resultados de transmisi\u00f3n a trav\u00e9s de materiales, pro causas de difracciones y por barreras vegetales.     las aportaciones m\u00e1s importantes se centran en la caracterizaci\u00f3n exhaustiva de la propagaci\u00f3n en banda ancha del canal radio a 40 ghz y en la caracterizaci\u00f3n de diferentes apantallamientos. estos resultados se han visto reflejados en numerosas publicaciones tanto en
