Con este fin se han seleccionado diversas muestras de car\u00e1cter carbonoso, que van desde materiales grafiticos hasta materiales con mayor desorden, este es el caso de los coques turbostr\u00e1ticos y carbones duros no grafitizables. asimismo, se han estudiado distintas morfolog\u00edas, tales como nanofibras y part\u00edculas microesf\u00e9ricas. Tambi\u00e9n se estudiaron diversos \u00f3xidos met\u00e1licos, entre los que se encuentran \u00f3xidos de hierro, de cobalto y de esta\u00f1o. el trabajo se ha realizado en los siguientes campos:     1,- preparaci\u00f3n y modificaci\u00f3n de materiales carbonosos.     2,- caracterizaci\u00f3n f\u00edsico-qu\u00edmica, textural, estructural y de las propiedades electroqu\u00edmicas.     3,- estudio de los mecanismos de las reacciones y evaluaci\u00f3n las modificaciones originadas en el electrodo tras la intercalaci\u00f3n del metal alcalino.     se demostr\u00f3 la utilidad de dispersar \u00f3xidos met\u00e1licos en una matriz de fase de carbono. Los tratamientos t\u00e9rmicos y\/o hidrotermales de nanofibras de carbono permiten mejorar la retenci\u00f3n de la capacidad para las bater\u00edas de i\u00f3n-sodio, se obtuvieron capacidades reversibles del orden de 300 mahg-1 usando microesferas de carbono obtenidas a partir de resorcionol y formaldeh\u00eddo. En el caso de las bater\u00edas de i\u00f3n-litio, la capacidad reversible alcanzada fue del orden de 400 mahg-1.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la tesis doctoral
