Dichos compuestos se han obtenido seg\u00fan una ruta sint\u00e9tica general cuya etapa clave, que permite controlar la estereoselectividad del proceso, es la reacci\u00f3n de dihidroxilaci\u00f3n asim\u00e9trica de sharpless del ferrocenilalqueno adecuado. Los beta-ferrocenil-beta-amino alcoholes as\u00ed sintetizados se han tomado como productos de partida para la obtenci\u00f3n de diferentes ligandos de inter\u00e9s en s\u00edntesis asim\u00e9trica, como pueden ser ligandos tipo 1,3-oxazolidin-2-ona \u00f3 1,3-oxazolina. As\u00ed, se ha aplicado la 4-ferrocenil-1,3-oxazolidin-2-ona como auxiliar quiral en reacciones de metilaci\u00f3n diastereoselectivas y en reacciones de cicloadici\u00f3n de diels-alder. Se ha obtenido adem\u00e1s una familia de ligandos tipo bis(oxaxolina) y (difenilfosfinofenil)oxazolina y de sus complejos derivados de alill paladio(ii). Estos compuestos se han aplicado con \u00e9xito en reacciones de sustituci\u00f3n al\u00edlica catalizadas por paladio, pudiendo comprobar que la sustituci\u00f3n en el carbono alfa del amino alcohol es un factor esencial para controlar la mobilidad conformacional que presenta el grupo ferrocenilo en este tipo de estructuras, y as\u00ed poder obtener una mayor enantioselectividad en el producto final. Tambi\u00e9n se ha preparado una familia de ligandos tipos imina por condensaci\u00f3n directa delos beta-ferrocenil-beta-amino alcoholes de partida con un derivado de salicilaldehido. Estos compuestos se han aplicado como ligandos en diversos procesos de cat\u00e1lisis asim\u00e9trica como en la adici\u00f3n enantioselectiva de cianuro de trimetilsililo y de diceteno a benzaldehido catalizada por titanio (iv). En este caso se han propuesto diferentes modelos para justificar la enantioselectividad observada seg\u00fan el m\u00e9todo de c\u00e1lculo por mec\u00e1nica molecular sibyl implementado en el paquete de programas spartan.
