Corrientes e influencias es un estudio de car\u00e1cter exploratorio. Versa sobre la importancia del conflicto social y sus consecuencias en las pr\u00e1cticas educativas del per\u00edodo estudiado.  la tesis es una reflexi\u00f3n sobre algunos de los valores que subyacen en el origen de la pedagog\u00eda catalana contempor\u00e1nea, pretende explicar su procedencia i comprender el proceso mediante el cual la \u00e9tica se emparenta con la econom\u00eda.     como resultado de los objetivos iniciales, la tesis presenta tres hip\u00f3tesis:     1,- en la primera parte (cap\u00edtulos 1 y 2) resumimos, a grandes rasgos, la situaci\u00f3n social e hist\u00f3rica en al que se enmarca el estudio, es decir, aportamos el conocimiento suficiente que permite plantear con garant\u00edas la primera hip\u00f3tesis. Se explican algunas consecuencias de la industrializaci\u00f3n, de lo que ha significado la urbanizaci\u00f3n, del papel ideol\u00f3gico de la educaci\u00f3n, de las instituciones educativas, formales i no formales, de las pr\u00e1cticas pedag\u00f3gicas i se vincula a la cuesti\u00f3n social. A continuaci\u00f3n, y como resultado, se propone dos ideas que conforman la primera hip\u00f3tesis: la centralidad del problema obrero  como un factor importante del desarrollo de la educaci\u00f3n catalana, por un lado, y la trascendencia del problema \u00e9tico i moral, por otro. L\u00f3gicamente, como es obvio, se explican las relaciones entre lso dos hechos: inseguridad-educaci\u00f3n moral. el peligro revolucionario, la cuesti\u00f3n social o problema obrero, adem\u00e1s de situarse en el interior mismo de la modernidad ha sido se\u00f1alado como un tema  b\u00e1sico de la historiograf\u00eda. Su incidencia en la pedagog\u00eda catalana debe ser, por lo tanto, di\u00e1fana.
