La alternativa elegida para la obtenci\u00f3n de gas de s\u00edntesis, es la oxidaci\u00f3n parcial catal\u00edtica del metano (opc), que presenta una serie de ventajas frente a la industrial, estas son: la menor necesidad de un aporte energ\u00e9tico externo para el proceso, la obtenci\u00f3n de un ratio molar h2\/co \u00f3ptimo para la producci\u00f3n de combustibles sint\u00e9ticos, metanol, \u00e1cido ac\u00e9tico, etc., La disminuci\u00f3n de las emisiones de gas es contaminantes como :cox, sox y nox, se requiere una menor cantidad de catalizador, todo esto acompa\u00f1ado de una mayor simplicidad tecnol\u00f3gica, que tambi\u00e9n permite abaratar el proceso.     en esta tesis se ha buscado el desarrollo de sistemas catal\u00edticos para el proceso de oxidaci\u00f3n parcial catal\u00edtica (opc) con una elevada estabilidad y gran actividad, empleando catalizadores de n\u00edquel soportados sobre diferentes soportes como son: la2o3, mgo y alfa-al2o3, este \u00faltimo dopado compromotores b\u00e1sicos (ca, mg) y redox (mn, mo y sn) para la mejora de su actividad y estabilidad. En esta tesis se han caracterizado estos catalizadores y estudiado la actividad y estabilidad de los mismos en este procesos opc y en un proceso an\u00e1logo denominado
