Dividimos el estudio en cinco cap\u00edtulos.     el primero, presenta a pem\u00e1n como uno de los personajes m\u00e1s conocidos de su \u00e9poca y ofrece unas consideraciones de tipo general acerca de su obra, sobre todo l\u00edrica. Nos detenemos en los diversos juicios sobre el poeta y le situamos en el contexto de su \u00e9poca literaria, a lado del grupo del 27. En su larga trayectoria, partimos del impacto del modernismo y dela influencia de la corriente costumbrista representada por j.M\u00aa gabriel y gal\u00e1n. El punto de viraje se marca con el neopopularismo, que decisivamente cambia la poes\u00eda permaniana. Tambi\u00e9n pasamos revista a las reflexiones de pem\u00e1n sobre la poes\u00eda pura, dado que interfieren en sus ideas acerca dela poes\u00eda religiosa. La parte dedicada al simbolismo nos ofrece ocasi\u00f3n para comentar el uso de sus recursos en el campo sem\u00e1ntico y la construcci\u00f3n de la expresi\u00f3n religiosa. analizamos el trasfondo del t\u00edtulo de las flores del bien, como reinterpretaci\u00f3n y pol\u00e9mica con las correspondencias de baudelaire y la analog\u00eda sombolista. Mostramos que pem\u00e1n en todos los sentidos vuelve a la analog\u00eda de origen tomista, en cuanto expresi\u00f3n de la belleza, verdad y bien del dios personal. Para completar el cuadro, repasamos los principales aspectos del magisterio de j.R. Jim\u00e9nez y de los hermanos machado. La \u00faltima arte entra en el \u00e1mbito de tres enfoques de la poes\u00eda religiosa en los que pem\u00e1n se inspir\u00f3: el esquema meditativo de los ejercicios de san ignacio de loyola y su m\u00edstica del servicio; la m\u00edstica nupcial y otras im\u00e1genes desarrolladas por los poetas carmelitas espa\u00f1oles; y la m\u00edstica de la amistad con dios, visible sobre todo en
