Mediante la activaci\u00f3n del receptor at1 contribuye a la patogenia de enfermedades cardiovasculares y renales. Algunas datos sugieren que el receptor at2 participa en la respuesta inflamatoria renal. Adem\u00e1s de la angii, existen otros p\u00e9ptidos del sra biol\u00f3gicamente activos, como ang1-7 y angiv, que actuan mediante su uni\u00f3n a receptores espec\u00edficos (mas e irap\/at4). el primer objetivo de esta tesis fue evaluar el tipo de receptor de angii implicado en la respuesta inflamatoria renal. Para ello hemos investigado la ruta nf- b y los genes asociados, utilizando modelos experimentales de da\u00f1o renal, estrategias terap\u00e9uticas y ratones modificados gen\u00e9ticamente. nuestros resultados demuestran que para inhibir la respuesta inflamatoria renal es necesario el bloqueo de ambos receptores at1 y at2. En distintos modelos experimentales  y en pacientes con nefropat\u00eda diab\u00e9tica, la expresi\u00f3n del receptor at2 aumenta durante el da\u00f1o renal, demostrando el importante papel de este receptor en la patolog\u00eda del ri\u00f1\u00f3n. Nuestro siguiente objetivo ha sido determinar el papel del eje ang(1-7)\/mas\/eca2 en el da\u00f1o renal. en situaciones patol\u00f3gicas existe un aumento de la eca2 renal. Utilizando ratones deficientes en el gen de receptor mas (mas-\/-) hemos observado que se previene el da\u00f1o renal causado por obstrucci\u00f3n unilateral de ureter. la ang(1-7), v\u00eda receptor mas, causa la presencia de c\u00e9lulas inflamatorias en el ri\u00f1\u00f3n, por un mecanismo mediado por la activaci\u00f3n de nf- b e inducci\u00f3n de genes proinflamatorios (in vivo e in vitro). Finalmente evaluamos si angiv presenta propiedades proinflamatorias. En c\u00e9lulas en cultivo (renales y vasculares), angiv v\u00eda receptor at4\/irap activa la ruta nf- b y aumenta factores proinflamatorios.
