Se trata de realizar el seguimiento de objetos no r\u00edgidos en tiempo real, sin utilizar ning\u00fan modelo previo de los objetos a seguir. Para conseguir esto, se propone un nuevo modelo para caracterizar la apariencia del objeto basado en una m\u00e1scara o template. Este modelo utiliza una nueva estructura piramidal, denominada bounded irregular pyramid (bip), para representar el target y el template, as\u00ed como para realizar el proceso de localizaci\u00f3n del objeto o template matching de forma jer\u00e1rquica, reduciendo su coste computacional.     el sistema de seguimiento propuesto permite realizar el seguimiento de objetos r\u00edgidos y no r\u00edgidos utilizando una m\u00e1scara que se actualiza de forma din\u00e1mica. Esta m\u00e1scara incluye informaci\u00f3n de las m\u00e1scaras previas, solucionando dos de las causas de fallo m\u00e1s importante se los sistemas de seguimiento: cambios en la apariencia del objetivo y oclusiones del mismo.
