Mientras que la biolog\u00eda de tnfr1 ha sido exhaustivamente estudiada, mucho menos se conoce el tnfr2. El tnfr2 carece de actividad cetal\u00edtica int\u00ednseca por lo que toda su se\u00f1alizaci\u00f3n posterior depende del reclutamiento de prote\u00ednas adaptadoras. El tnfr2 reclusa de modo directo a traf2 (factor asociado al receptor del tnf) a trav\u00e9s de un m\u00f3dulo skee, comprendido entre los amino\u00e1cidos 402-405 de la regi\u00f3n intracelular del receptor y esta asociaci\u00f3n de lugar a la activaci\u00f3n de las rutas de se\u00f1alizaci\u00f3n del factor de transcripci\u00f3n nf-?By la quinasa jnk. Recientemente se ha descrito que traf2 es degradado por el tnfr2, complicando la interpretaci\u00f3n lineal tnfr2-traf2 se\u00f1alizaci\u00f3n cl\u00e1sicamente considerada.     en el presente trabajo se ha estudiado en profundidad la biolog\u00eda funcional y estructural del tnfr2. Mediante el empleo de deleciones y mutaciones del receptor hemos determinado la existencia en el tnfr2 de dos zonas previamente desconocidas con implicaciones en la se\u00f1alizaci\u00f3n. Una de estas regiones, localizada en los \u00faltimos 15 amino\u00e1cidos del receptor, es capaz de activar al factor de transcripci\u00f3n nf-kappab as\u00ed como de interaccionar con traf2, aunque no se engloba dentro de las previamente descritas como secuencias consenso de uni\u00f3n traf2. la segunda regi\u00f3n determinada en este trabajo, localizada entre los amino\u00e1cidos 343-378 del receptor, est\u00e1 implicada en la degradaci\u00f3n de traf2 en la activaci\u00f3n de nf-kappab y en la activaci\u00f3n de jnk por el receptor. As\u00ed, esta regi\u00f3n es necesaria para la satisfactoria activaci\u00f3n del nf-kappa b y al mismo tiempo participa en la inducci\u00f3n de la degradaci\u00f3n de la prote\u00edna adaptadora traf2, por lo que representa un punto de controliniciaci\u00f3n-finalizaci\u00f3n de la activaci\u00f3n de nf -kappab.
