Se pretende identificar si existe correlaci\u00f3n entre los grupos y las variables independientes reunidas en cinco factores; la experiencia en internet, la actitud positiva hacia el sistema de compra, las variables sociodemogr\u00e1ficas, el comportamiento de compra y la percepci\u00f3n del riesgo.La metodolog\u00eda utilizada: 1.621 encuestas aplicadas personalmente y por correo electr\u00f3nico, en las  universidades: ub, uab y upc de barcelona. La muestra se divide en dos grupos: los que han comprado alguna vez en internet llamados consumidores on-line y los que nunca lo han hecho, consumidores tradicionales. Se realizo un cluster an\u00e1lisis.  conclusiones: h1: la experiencia en internet se relaciona positivamente con la probabilidad de que los universitarios lleguen a ser consumidores v\u00eda internet. Se demostr\u00f3 que a mayor tiempo de uso aumenta la posibilidad de que lleguen a ser compradores on-line, como afirman lohse, bellman y johnson (2000). Se concluye que a medida que los universitarios aumentan la frecuencia de uso de internet, su confianza tambi\u00e9n crece y la percepci\u00f3n de riesgo disminuye, ya que con la asimilaci\u00f3n de conocimientos y habilidad para navegar, aumenta la probabilidad de considerarlos  consumidores on-line.  h2: la actitud positiva promueve la posibilidad de que los universitarios lleguen a ser consumidores on-line.  los universitarios muestran una actitud  positiva ante las compras on-line, como lo afirman kwak, fox y zinkhan(2002). Otro factor que confirma la imagen positiva es la intenci\u00f3n de repetir la compra en un lapso no mayor a un a\u00f1o, particularmente el grupo de  consumidores  on-line.  h3: las variables
