Asimismo, para ampliar el estudio, se realiz\u00f3 un seguimiento de sus posibilidades terap\u00e9uticas potenciales sobre los procesos fisiol\u00f3gicos de la agregaci\u00f3n plaquetaria y de la coagulaci\u00f3n sangu\u00ednea. mediante el m\u00e9todo de mian y percival se aislaron los extractos brutos c\u00e1lcico y clorh\u00eddrico de las dos algas y a continuaci\u00f3n se llev\u00f3 a cabo su franccionamiento por gradiente i\u00f3nico mediante una cromatograf\u00eda de intercambio, empleando una columna de deae-sephacel. Tras este proceso se obtuvieron cuatro fracciones por cada uno de los extractos brutos, correspondientes a la eluci\u00f3n con cloruro pot\u00e1sico de concentraci\u00f3n creciente 0.15, 0.3 y 1 m. posteriormente se realiz\u00f3 tambi\u00e9n una caracterizaci\u00f3n qu\u00edmica de los fucanos extra\u00eddos de las algas, a fin de poder relacionar su estructura qu\u00edmica con su actividad biol\u00f3gica. Este proceso incluy\u00f3 la determinaci\u00f3n del contenido en grupos sulfato, fucosa, \u00e1cidos ur\u00f3nicos y az\u00facares reductores, la determinaci\u00f3n del peso molecular, y la realizaci\u00f3n delos correspondientes espectros de infrarrojos. En la caracterizaci\u00f3n qu\u00edmica de las fracciones se observa una tendencia en \u00e9stas a enriquecerse en fucosa y empobrecerse en az\u00facares reductores a medida que aumenta el gradiente i\u00f3nico de eluci\u00f3n. as\u00ed como, en l\u00edneas generales, el grado de sulfataci\u00f3n de las fracciones aumenta en relaci\u00f3n directa con el potencial i\u00f3nico de eluci\u00f3n.
