En particular, su objetivo es el an\u00e1lisis y propuesta de m\u00e9todos de control de la congesti\u00f3n para aplicaciones con restricciones temporales. Hemos limitado nuestro estudio al de aquellos mecanismos que, fieles a la filosof\u00eda extremo a extremo imperante en internet, no necesitan realizar ning\u00fan cambio en la infraestructura de la red. Para que los mecanismos propuestos puedan ser empleados por estas aplicaciones, deben ser capaces de proporcionar una transmisi\u00f3n en la que la variaci\u00f3n de la tasa instant\u00e1nea y el porcentaje de p\u00e9rdidas sean peque\u00f1os, siempre dentro de las limitaciones impuestas por una red best-effort. Durante el desarrollo de la tesis se presentan dos aproximaciones diferentes al problema.     la primera propuesta consiste en un nuevo protocolo monotasa basado en represente en el que la elecci\u00f3n del representante se realiza de manera distribuida, y en el que se utiliza una ventana de congesti\u00f3n para regular la tasa de transmisi\u00f3n. Los protocolos monotasa basados en representante emplean un \u00fanico grupo multicast  atrav\u00e9s del cual env\u00eda toda la informaci\u00f3n a una tasa adecuada para el receptor m\u00e1s congestionado. El resto delos receptores ven limitada sus prestaciones por este receptor. por este motivo, los mecanismos monotasa est\u00e1n indicados para escenarios donde las caracter\u00edsticas de los receptores sena homog\u00e9neas. Mediante exhaustivos experimentos mostramos que la amplitud de las variaciones de tasa, la probabilidad de p\u00e9rdidas y el retardo de tr\u00e1nsito son, con el algoritmo propuesto, menores que con soluciones previas.     la segunda propuesta plantea un nuevo mecanismo multitasa h\u00edbrido, para ser empleado en aquellos escenarios en los que sea conveniente ofrecer a los distintos receptores tasas de transmisi\u00f3n adaptadas a sus capacidades.
