A partir del mioceno medio, yacimientos como el de las cruces, localizados dentro de la propia cuenca se vieron afectados directamente por el r\u00e9gimen tect\u00f3nico subsidente y la transgresi\u00f3n marina y quedaron enterrados bajo sedimentos terciarios y cuaternarios. Mientras, yacimientos localizados mas al norte, como tharsis y riotinto entre otros, permanecieron expuestos en condiciones atmosf\u00e9ricas, puesto que esta parte de la regi\u00f3n experiment\u00f3 un levantamiento flexural como respuesta a la subsidencia. A partir del l\u00edmite tortoniense-messiniense los patrones de alteraci\u00f3n evolucionaron de forma diferente en cada tipo de yacimiento, los cuales desarrollaron patrones litol\u00f3gicos, texturales, mineral\u00f3gicos y geoqu\u00edmicos caracter\u00edsticos e indicativos de las condiciones y los procesos de formaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la tesis
