Esta aplicacion es la que hemos tomado como ejemplo para experimentar un enfoque modular y concurrente basado en redes neuronales artificiales, tratando de superar las limitaciones de los enfoques previos basados en sistemas expertos y en redes neuronales artificiales monoliticas.  la solucion adoptada supera satisfactoriamente los problemas que presenta la aplicacion y, en particular, aporta una escalabilidad ilimitada que permite su adaptacion a redes de transporte de cualquier tama\u00f1o mediante implementaciones concurrentes (multiprogramadas y paralelas). Otra caracteristica del enfoque es su independencia del hardware, lo que permite encontrar la implementacion mas adecuada en funcion de las caracteristicas concretas de la aplicacion, las prestaciones
