La mayor parte de la poblaci\u00f3n no reconoce una utilidad ni un disfrute en la contemplaci\u00f3n o  experimentaci\u00f3n del arte m\u00e1s actual, perdiendo as\u00ed la posibilidad de acercarse a su propia cultura y de adentrarse en un rico medio de conocimiento y de su entorno y de s\u00ed mismo. La ra\u00edz del problema suele provenir de un concepto de arte cerrado y reacio a las novedades. la educaci\u00f3n es el \u00fanico medio que puede, de una manera generalizada y efectiva, acercar el arte de nuestros d\u00edas a la mayor\u00eda delos ciudadanos y las asignaturas de educaci\u00f3n art\u00edstica en la ense\u00f1anza obligatoria son las que deben cumplir este cometido. con este convencimiento hemos dise\u00f1ado un aporte al curr\u00edculum de la asignatura de educaci\u00f3n pl\u00e1stica y visual de manera que el debate sobre los procesos art\u00edsticos contempor\u00e1neos sea algo habitual en el aula y que se conviertan en la referencia de los contenidos de la asignatura. El m\u00e9todo se ha aplicado en diferentes grupos de e.S.O., A lo largo de cinco cursos, recoplando actividades y realizando un sondeo sobre el concepto que los alumnos tienen acerca de qu\u00e9 debe ser una obra de arte, tanto a principio como a final de curso. tanto las actividades como los sondeos nos muestran la efectividad del m\u00e9todo. Hemos comprobado c\u00f3mo podemos hacer desaparecer prejuicios y propiciar un disfrute de las obras art\u00edsticas que, aunque en un principio resulten extra\u00f1as, pueden aportar experiencias
