En base a una cartografia de la zona a escala 1:25.000, se han diferenciado 20 unidades litoestratigraficas correspondientes al intervalo bedouliense inferior-albiense superior. La datacion se ha basado en ammonites con cita nueva en el area de 8 ejemplares, y en orbitolinidos, muchos de ellos de primera mencion.  mediante estos estudios se ha puesto de manifiesto por primera vez en el area la presencia del albiense superior. El analisis de facies sedimentarias, completado con analisis petrologicos y geoquimicos de laboratorio, ha permitido establecer los siguientes sistemas sedimentarios: a) plataforma mixta terrigeno-carbonatada; b) rampas carbonatadas; c) estuarios siliciclasticos; y d) sistemas de plataforma-cuenca.  siguiendo la metodolog\u00eda de estratigrafia de secuencias se han diferenciado 14 secuencias deposicionales entre 0,25 y 4 m.A., Controladas por cambios relativos del nivel del mar. De ellas 5 corresponden al aptiense y 9 corresponden al albiense. Los limites de secuencia vienen marcados en las plataformas calizas por paleokarst, y en taludes y cuencas por superficies de erosion o conformidad correlativa. Los depositos de mar bajo (lst) consisten en rellenos de estuarios, rellenos de cavernas y diversas facies de resedimentacion en masa. Los depositos de mar transgresivos (tst) cuando son diferenciables, consisten en margas. Los depositos de mar alto (hst), finalmente, que normalmente aparecen en asociacion con los anteriores (tst+hst), consisten en calizas con rudistas (plataforma) y margas hemipelagicas (talud y
