Cada especie presenta una sola familia de dnasat y la sunidades repetitivas de las familitas descritas presentan dos regiones realtivamente conservadas, una de 185 pb yotra de 125 pb, con una similaridad del 60-86%, lo que sugiere su origen com\u00fan. Seg\u00fan su similaridad se puede dividir en dos grupos: el primero formado por las familias pim357, pim533 y pim705 y el segundo integrado por pim502 pim509, pim512 y pim515.  las unidades monom\u00e9ricas de todas las familias presentan una movilidad electrofor\u00e9tica retardad. Esta movilidad an\u00f3mala se ha explicado por la curvatura del dna causada por los bloques de a-3 distribuidos en fase en la unidad monom\u00e9rica. La funci\u00f3n del dnasat estar\u00eda relacionada con la condensaci\u00f3n de la heterocromatina y el posicionamiento de los nucleosomas. en pimelia, la selecci\u00f3nparece favorecer las unidades monom\u00e9ricas que inducen curvatura y un soleonoide con superh\u00e9lice lev\u00f3gira, independientemente de la secuencia o la longitud de la unidad monom\u00e9rica.  las secuencias monom\u00e9ricas de la familia pim357 muestran un patr\u00f3n de sustituci\u00f3n nuclot\u00eddico espont\u00e1neo y sim\u00e9trico para ambas cadenas,familiar al descrito para psedogenes de mamiferos. Este patr\u00f3n de sustituci\u00f3n tiende a incrementar el porcentaje de a+t de las secuencias.  cada especie del g\u00e9nero pimelia evidencia una evoluci\u00f3n concertada de sus secuencias monom\u00e9ricas con una variaci\u00f3n nucleot\u00eddica intraspec\u00edfica baja (2-7%), similar a las descritas en otros tenebri\u00f3nidos. Sin embargo, las especies canarias (familia pim357) presentan una variaci\u00f3n mayor (15-19%) debido a la coexistencia de variantes de secuencias distintas en una proporci\u00f3n apreciable, las cuales muestran una compartimentalizaci\u00f3n cromos\u00f3mica.  la familia pim357 muestra un patr\u00f3n de evoluci\u00f3<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la tesis doctoral
