Mediante t\u00e9cnicas de simulaci\u00f3n por elementos finitos se han podido obtener cuales son las solicitaciones a las que se van a ser sometidos los materiales que componen el fusible.  estos m\u00e9todos de simulaci\u00f3n son aplicados al desarrollo de fusibles de corte integral, consiguiendose un nuevo dise\u00f1o de fusibles que permite pasar de fusibles con una corriente m\u00ednima de corte cercana a cinco veces su  corriente nominal, a unos fusibles cuya corriente m\u00ednima de corte est\u00e1 en valores cercanos a dos veces la corriente nominal.  la tesis desarrolla una metodolog\u00eda que permite predise\u00f1ar fusibles limitadores en el rango de corrientes que hacen actuar al fusible en tiempos inferiores a cinco milisegundos.
