Tasso se hicieron en aquellos a\u00f1os. Tras una primera parte en la que se dan unas cuantas claves para entender la poes\u00eda y la po\u00e9tica del autor de la liberata, la segunda aborda la problem\u00e1tica de las traducciones de ariosto, como p\u00f3rtico y antecedente de lo que suceder\u00e1 despu\u00e9s con las de tasso. Estas \u00faltimas se estudian desde diversas perspectivas complementarias: la historiograf\u00eda, la cr\u00edtica textual y la estil\u00edstica, prestando especial atenci\u00f3n al tipo de lecturas que cada una de ellas realiza de su modelo. Tambi\u00e9n  se elabora un perfil biogr\u00e1fico e hist\u00f3rico de cada uno de los traductores ( juan sede\u00f1o, bartolom\u00e9 carrasco, antonio sarmiento, alonso de revenga y gregorio de tapia) apoyado en la documentaci\u00f3n disponible, la tesis se cierra con una extensa recapitulaci\u00f3n que sit\u00faa a las traducciones en su contexto literario y las relaciona con otras obras realizadas en la misma \u00e9poca para entender su relevancia historiogr\u00e1fica y literaria.
