Las descripciones pueden hacerse en t\u00e9rminos de variables continuas o discretas. Utilizando el m\u00e9todo de las funciones de penalizaci\u00f3n, se utilizan cuatro procedimientos heur\u00edsticos de optimizaci\u00f3n: descenso seg\u00fan el gradiente, recocido simulado continuo, recocido simulado discreto y algoritmos gen\u00e9ticos. La introduccion de un factor de eficiencia permite comparar los diferentes m\u00e9todos entre s\u00ed, teniendo en cuenta la aproximaci\u00f3n de la soluci\u00f3n, el cumplimiento de las ligaduras impuestas al problema y el tiempo de computaci\u00f3n. Un conjunto de demandas y equipos de suministro son analizados, estableciendo en cada caso las mejoras condiciones de funcionamiento para minimizar ya sea el coste econ\u00f3mico, el consumo de
