Estas t\u00e9cnicas se basan en explotar las similitudes entre distintas zonas de una imagen, para ello se hace uso de una serie de transformaciones afines que reciben el nombre de sistemas de funciones iteradas (ifs: iterated function systemas), y enre ellas las m\u00e1s utilizadas son las llamadas pifs (partitioned iterated function systems)  las teor\u00edas desarrolladas no est\u00e1n restringidas a las dos dimensiones de las im\u00e1genes, por lo que es posible reutilizar estos conocimientos en se\u00f1ales de una dimensi\u00f3n, como las se\u00f1ales de audio. Toda la bilbiograf\u00eda que aborda la utilizaci\u00f3n de ifs es una dimensi\u00f3n se centra en establecer las bases matem\u00e1ticas del problema sin profundizar en los aspectos pr\u00e1cticos. en esta tesis se pretende abordar los problemas que surgen al utilizar estos m\u00e9todos en la compresi\u00f3n de se\u00f1ales dde audio, y dar las soluciones adecuadas.  as\u00ed pues, el primer paso consistir\u00e1 en obtener un buen modelo fractal de las se\u00f1ales de audio, es decir, obtener los par\u00e1metros de las pifs que permitan reproducir la se\u00f1al original preservando su calida. Para ello partiremos de m\u00e9todos te\u00f3ricos propuesto enla literatura e iremos modific\u00e1ndolos con el objetivo de desarrollar un algoritmo pr\u00e1ctico que permita la compresi\u00f3n &#8211; descompresi\u00f3n de se\u00f1ales en tiempo real, es decir, sin que el proceso introduzca grandes retardos.  el segundo paso, tras obtener los par\u00e1metros de los pifs que modelan la se\u00f1al de audio, consistir\u00e1 en cuantificar y codificar dichos par\u00e1metros. para ello se estudiar\u00e1 qu\u00e9 caracter\u00edsticas tienen y se buscar\u00e1 entre los m\u00e9todos
