Paula <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>En la presente tesis doctoral se ha realizao la caracterizaci\u00f3n de la cantidad de grasa (10\u00aa costilla), contenido en grasa quimica, tama\u00f1o de los adipocitos y actividad de las principales enzimas lipogenicas de los depositos grasos omental (om), perirrenal (pr),subcutaneo (sc) e intermuscular (im), de los terrenos machos y hembras de la raza pirenaica y frisona.  para la caracterizaci\u00f3n de los depositos grasos antes se\u00f1alados se utilizaron 30 animales de raza pirenaica, 15 machos y 15 hembras, y 28 animales de raza frisona, 15 machos y 13 hembras. Los animales se sacrificaron a las edades y pesos propios de cada raza (tipo comercial \u00aba\u00f1ojo\u00bb). Los terneros tanto de raza pirenaica como frisona, sacrificados aproximadamente a los 13 meses de edad se alimentaron una vez destelados con pienso concentrado comercial y paja de cebada tratada con amoniaco, ambos \u00abad libitum\u00bb hasta el momento de sacrificio. Despues del sacrificio de los terneros se tomaron muestras de los diferentes depositos grasos para la determinaci\u00f3n del tama\u00f1o de los adipocitos mediante la tecnica de fijacion con tret\u00f3xido de osmio y posterior medida por analisis de imagen; contenido en grasa quimica(metodo soxhlet); y cuantificaci\u00f3n de la actividad de las diferentes enzimas lipogenicas: glicerol 3-fosfato deshidrogenasa (g3pdh,ec.1.1.1.8; metodo de wisse y green, 1979), sintetasa de acidos grasos (fas,ec.2.3.1.85; metodo de halestrap y denton, 1973), nadp-malato deshidrogenasa o enzima m\u00e1lico (em;ec.1.1.1.40; metodo de ochoa, 1955), glucosa 6-fosfato deshidrogenasa (g6pdh;ec.1.1.1.42; metodo de glock and mclean,1953), y nadp-isocitrato deshidrogenasa(icdh,ec.1.1.1.50; metodo de plaut, 1962). La cantidad de grasa se determin\u00f3 por disecci\u00f3n de la 10\u00aa costilla. Para el parametro cantidad de grasa se estudi\u00f3 la influencia de la raza y el sexo.
