La presente tesis doctoral aporta datos que se\u00f1alan a cd26 como un marcador del fenotipo th1, ya que tanto il-12 como il-2 aumentan su expresi\u00f3n y actividad dppiv en linfocitos activados policlonalmente. El efecto de il-12 es directo e implica procesos de transcripci\u00f3n y traducci\u00f3n del arnm de cd26, as\u00ed como de translocaci\u00f3n del enzima hacia la membrana plasm\u00e1tica. Un factor inflamatorio, tnfalfa, contraregula este efecto de il-12 e il-2 sobre la expresi\u00f3n de cd26. Estas dos \u00faltimas citocinas, de manera opuesta a il-4 y tnfalfa, incrementan tambi\u00e9n los niveles de ada (adenosina deaminasa, ec 3.5.4.4), una mol\u00e9cula que interacciona con cd26 en la superficie de linfocitos activados policlonalmente. El fen\u00f3meno implica mecanismos en los que procesos de translocaci\u00f3n mediante un sistema de transporte al margen de  cd26 son preponderantes. Esto se traduce en diferencias regulativas entre ada y cd26, as\u00ed como en una ausencia de coexpresi\u00f3n\/colocalizaci\u00f3n completa de ambas mol\u00e9culas. Il-12, finalmente, provoca un aumento de los niveles de cd45ro, as\u00ed como de su interacci\u00f3n con cd26, lo que puede suponer una nueva v\u00eda de se\u00f1alizaci\u00f3n que complemente a las
