En el presente trabajo sehan estudiado variables importantes dirigidas a la producci\u00f3n industrial de estos s\u00f3lidos. se ha utilizado un arcilla natural sin refinar. Se ha demostrado que la cantidad m\u00ednima de aluminio necesaria para obtener arcilla natural sin refinar. Se ha demostrado que la cantidad m\u00ednima de aluminio necesaria para obtener arcillas intercaladas con buenas propiedades es 3 mmol a1 3+\/g de arcilla. El aumento de las concentraciones de naoh y a1c1 3 en las soluciones de intercalaci\u00f3n y el aumento de la concentraci\u00f3n de arcilla enla dispersi\u00f3n final suponen una mayor cantidad de arcilla intercalada.La sintesis con arcillas intercaladas partiendo de arcilla inicial de distinto tama\u00f1o no genera diferencias en las propiedades del s\u00f3lido final. El dise\u00f1o de un reactor ha permitido sintetizar hasta 100 y 200 g de arcilla intercalada. se ha estudiado el efecto de la etapa de lavado y la utilizaci\u00f3n de agua de gripo durante la sintesis. Finalmente se ha medido de estabilidad de s\u00f3lido durante un periodo largo de tiempo concluyendo que la calcinaci\u00f3n a 400\u00c2\u00ba c es el mejor metodo para conservar las propiedades del s\u00f3lido.  se ha estudiado la aplicaci\u00f3n de las arcillas intercaladas en la reacci\u00f3n de oxidaci\u00f3n completa de vocs, utilizando el tolueno como compuesto representativo. las arcillas intercaladas con cromo presentaron la mayor reactividad, correspondiendo con la mayor actividad de oxido simple.
