Con este objetivo, hemos iniciado una estrategia basada en tecnicas de genetica reversa para identificar mutantes en genes de la familia r2r3-myb, que en a.Thaliana se compone de cerca de 100 miembros. Esta estrategia ha consistido en el aislamiento de lineas mutantes mediante el cribado por pcr de colecciones de lineas de a.Thaliana mutagenizadas por inserci\u00f3n de t-dna o transposones. se obtuvieron inserciones en 10 de los 18 genes analizados, logr\u00e1ndose una eficiencia de cribado cercana a la esperada por calculos teoricos. de esta manera, queda demostrado que en a.Thaliana la aproximaci\u00f3n por genetica reversa al estudio funcional de miembros de familias genicas es factible desde el punto de vista de la disponibilidad y de la eficiencia de los recursos existentes.  los mutantes encontrados en \u00e9ste y en similares trabajos consituyen el punto de partida para el an\u00e1lisis sistem\u00e1tico de la funci\u00f3n de los miembros de la familia de factores transcripcionales r2r3-myb. Mediante la construcci\u00f3n razonada de m\u00faltiples mutantes se facilitar dicho estudio ya que se sortearon los fenomenos de redundancia entre genes de la familia. En esta tesis, atendiendo a la localizacion de las inserciones respecto a los genes r2r3-myb se ha analizado en mayor detalle los mutantes atmyb 14-1 y atmyb 56-1, en los que se comprob\u00f3 la ausencia de transcrito de sus genes silvestres mediante t\u00e9cnicas de rt-pcr.  el analisis de expresi\u00f3n efectuado mediante ensayos de actividad gus apunta hacia la expresi\u00f3n especifica de atmyb56 en apices radiculares y en la base del hipocotilo.
