Estos ultimos polimeros son poliacidos carboxilicos que pueden establecer fuertes interacciones especificas mediante enlaces de hidrogeno con las polivinilpiridinas, que presentan caracter de base debil. Se han obtenido complejos polimero-polimero como resultado de la coprecipitacion en metanol y mezclas estables en disolucion utilizando piridina como disolvente comun. La composicion de los complejos polimero-polimero viene determinada por las caracteristicas propias del sistema y se ha calculado mediante analisis elemental. El comportamiento termico de los diferentes sistemas se ha seguido mediante analisis termico diferencial (atd) y analisis termogravimetrico (tg). La inexistencia de transiciones vitreas ha impedido utilizar esta magnitud como un criterio cuantitativo de miscibilidad. La realizacion de analisis infrarrojos a altas temperaturas nos ha permitido proponer una serie de mecanismos de degradacion termica para estos sistemas. Mediante analisis infrarrojo se han caracterizado los tipos de interacciones y se ha realizado un estudio cuantitativo de las mismas. Finalmente, la viscosimetria nos ha servido para seguir la evolucion de las disoluciones piridinicas con el tiempo asi como el grado de interaccion existente en
