Para abordar este objetivo hemos separado la investigaci\u00f3n en dos partes: una te\u00f3rica y una pr\u00e1ctica que se complementan entre s\u00ed. El punto de partida, dado que el mentoring hace alusi\u00f3n al desarrollo profesional, es triple: concepto de educaci\u00f3n, de hombre y de empresa. A continuaci\u00f3n exponemos un repaso de los principales estudios sobre el mentoring en la actualidad. De este modo, cerramos la parte te\u00f3rica con una exposici\u00f3n detallada de lo que es el mentoring y sus caracter\u00edsticas: diferencia con otras figuras orientadas al desarrollo dentro de la empresa, funciones, fases de la relaci\u00f3n, fines y perfil del mentor. La parte emp\u00edrica empieza con una descripci\u00f3n del m\u00e9todo de investigaci\u00f3n empleado para analizar la realidad: el m\u00e9todo cualitativo. a trav\u00e9s de entrevistas en profundidad nos acercamos a la realidad de dos empresas multinacionales en espa\u00f1a, que presentan dos estadios diferentes &#8211; que no contradictorios del mentoring. Para ello nos centramos en las pol\u00edticas de recursos humanos: observamos que la integraci\u00f3n entre las pr\u00e1cticas de recursos humanos, la cultura de la empresa y el mentoring es cr\u00edtica: seg\u00fan que pol\u00edticas de selecci\u00f3n, rotaci\u00f3n remuneraci\u00f3n, comunicaci\u00f3n, participaci\u00f3n, promoci\u00f3n y formaci\u00f3n existan en una empresa, se estar\u00eda contribuyendo indirectamente a potenciar el mentoring o por el contrario se estar\u00e1 obstaculizando su viabilidad.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la tesis doctoral
