El acercamiento al mismo garantizaba, por tanto, un estudio diversificado y la extraccion de unas conclusiones universales que se a\u00f1adirian a las encontradas en otras zonas peninsulares. Colaborariamos ademas al conocimiento y conservacion de una parte importante de nuestro patrimonio artistico a traves de la catalogacion de cerca de 200 obras. La metodolog\u00eda empleada, de tipo historico-artistico, ha permitido el acercamiento a los artistas, muchos de ellos foraneos desde el punto de vista humano y profesional, y a los diversos componentes de los retablos: soportes, imagenes y policromia. La combinacion de todos estos aspectos permite el analisis formal de cada uno de los ejemplares considerados y llegar a establecer la evolucion experimentada por los mismos. Esta ha quedado, como otras facetas, matizada con respecto a los principales focos castellanos y configurada en tres periodos estilisticos: retablo clasicista (c. 1620-1680), retablo churrigueresco (c.  1680-1740) y retablo rococo (c. 1740-1780). No es la unica, aunque si la mas destacada, diferencia existente con respecto a Madrid y valladolid, ciudades que informan artisticamente a nuestra zona de estudio.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos
