Esta aproximaci\u00f3n ha permitido el acceso a sistema de c-alquil y c-aril-glicales simples, as\u00ed como a otros c-aril glicales m\u00e1s complejos.  a partir de un me-glical ha sido posible construir un sistema de bis-c,c-glic\u00f3sido con un absoluto estero control sobre las cadenas de c-1 y c-2. Asimismo se ha desarrollado una secuencia de eloganci\u00f3n y modificaci\u00f3n de las cadenas sobre dichos centros, que han permitido acceder al precursor del esqueleto
