Las conclusiones en que se fundamenta esta idea son:  1- los efectos, ya conocidos, producidos por la exposici\u00f3n perinatal a cannabionoides sobre la maduraci\u00f3n de diversos neurotransmisores, sonpresumiblmente mediados por la activaci\u00f3n de receptors cb1, ya que, uni\u00f3n espec\u00edfica para este receptor, expresi\u00f3nd e su arnm as\u00ed como contenidos significativos de endocannabinoides han sido detectados en el cerebro fetaly postnatal temprano. Adem\u00e1s, el receptor cb1 es funcional desde edades muy tempranas del desarrollo.  2- los rceptores cb1 aparecen distribuidos de forma at\u00edpica durante el desarrollo cerebral, si lo comparamos con su distribuci\u00f3n en el cerebro adulto. Estas \u00e1reas at\u00edpicas son fundamentalmente zonas de sustancia blanca y regiones proliferativas.  3- mediante estudios utilizando cultivos de c\u00e9lulas fetales se ha demostrado que el subtipo de receptor cb1 se encuentra en c\u00e9lulas neuronales durante el desarrollo, aunque tambi\u00e9n existen evidencias de la presencia de un subtipo de receptor, diferente al cb1, en c\u00e9lulas gliales.  4- los receptores cb1 se localizan en cultivos de neuronas mesencef\u00e1licas fetales, donde colocalizan con la enzima tirosina hidroxilasa, y regulan, tras su activaci\u00f3n, la expresi\u00f3n del gen de esta enzima clave para el desarrollo de diversos fenotipos c elulares. Esto coincide conlo observado in vivo, ya que la exposici\u00f3nperinatal a cannabioides tambi\u00e9n modific\u00f3 la expresi\u00f3n de arnm de tirosina hidroxilasa en fetos de d\u00eda gestacional
