Estos trabajos se pueden clasificar en dos grandes bloques fundamentalmente, el primero relacionado con el estudio de la materia prima(el cultivo de girasol y su aceite) y los fundamentos teoricos del proceso de transformacion de la misma para obtener el biogas\u00f3leo, y el segundo bloque relacionado con el trabajo experimental que se ha llevado a cabo.  el trabajo experimental se ha llevado a cabo en tres etapas. En la primera etapa de ensayos se ha caracterizado y determinado la composici\u00f3n de biogas\u00f3leo obtenido a partir de aceite de girasol, en la segunda etapa de ensayos se han establecido los principales par\u00e1metros que intervienen en la reacci\u00f3n de transesterificaci\u00f3n y se ha caracterizado el bigas\u00f3leo a trav\u00e9s de su contenido de glic\u00e9ridos y metanol. Una vez establecidas las principales variables que intervienen en la transesterificaci\u00f3n del aceite de girasol se realiz\u00f3 la tercera etapa de experimentaci\u00f3n con el objetivo de optimizar el proceso de transesterificaci\u00f3n.
