El tercer capitulo recoge algunos aspectos matematicos de la turbulencia, y el cuarto recoge las experiencias obtenidas en el desarrollo de un codigo de simulacion numerica directa. El codigo permite la simulacion de flujos incompresibles homogeneos e isotropos con reaccion quimica mediante la incorporacion de escalares pasivos. El codigo esta construido sobre librerias encargadas de realizar distintas tareas claramente diferenciadas. Se ha incorporado un esquema de forzado que permite mantener el flujo estadisticamente estacionario. Una vez validado el codigo se han incorporado campos escalares pasivos validando los resultados con los aportados por eswaran y pope. La inclusion de un termino fuente permite considerar reacciones quimicas de tipos muy diversos.
