La ciencia es el conocimiento de un encuentro entre dos terminos diferentes, cada uno en el otro, que a un tiempo persisten como identicos y diferentes. La doctrina es la esquematizacion en terminos de opuestos del encuentro entre diferentes. La filosofia de fichte es un intento de ajuste entre ambos.  fichte piensa que la oposicion, cuya representacion temporal es el limite, tiene un sentido propedeutico o metodico, que es un camino, hacia el encuentro exhaustivo de dos terminos diferentes, cada uno en el otro. De este modo, el encuentro posee potencia congregadora o exhortadora hacia si.
