Candelaria <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>El so2 es uno de los contaminantes atmosf\u00e9ricas de mayor importancia, siendo los sectores energ\u00e9tico e industrial los que contribuyen en mayor cuant\u00eda a su emisi\u00f3n, debido principalmente al contenido de azufre de los combustibles utilizados. El objetivo general de este trabajao ha sido la obtenci\u00f3n de datos termodin\u00e1micos y cin\u00e9ticos necesarios para el dise\u00f1o de adsorbedores industriales, empleados en los procesos de desulfuraci\u00f3n de gases de combusti\u00f3n por agua de mar.  se han realizado dos estudios diferenciados: uno de solubilidad del so2 en disoluciones acuosas y otro de absorci\u00f3n de so2 en agua de mar. en lo primero se emplearon mezclas de so2\/n2 en un rango de presiones parciales entre 7,5.10-4 y 1,4.10-2 bar y de temperaturas entre 5 y 45\u00c2\u00ba c. Se han obtenido diferente expresiones que permiten evaluar al efecto de la temperatura y de la fuerza i\u00f3nica sobre los diferentes equilibrios termodin\u00e1micos. asimismo se han obtenidos datos experimentales de la solubilidad del so2 en agua de mar, natural y artificial, correlacion\u00e1ndola con diferentes modelos de predicci\u00f3n recogidos en la bibliograf\u00eda.  por otra parte, en el estudio de absorci\u00f3n se ha establecido te\u00f3ricamente la cin\u00e9tica del proceso mediante modelos de transferencia de materia con reacci\u00f3n qu\u00edmica que permiten establecer el factor de aceleraci\u00f3n para sistemas de reacciones en equilibrio.
