Es aplicable al c\u00e1lculo del tiempo de respuesta principio a fin (end-to-end) de los procesos, integrado el efecto de los canales de comunicaci\u00f3n.  el m\u00e9todo micedes es pespcialmente efectivo cuando existen relaciones de dependencia entre las tareas que forman los procesos. Se basa en hacer una estimaci\u00f3ndel tiempo m\u00e1ximo de cada proceso para comprobar la viabildiad de la planificaci\u00f3n. Los tiempos de respuesta estimados son de 10 a un 20% mejores que los que se estiman por otros m\u00e9todos (la mejora depende de las caracter\u00edsticas del sistema al que se aplica).  aporta, adem\u00e1s, una formulaci\u00f3n matricial del an\u00e1lisis de planificaci\u00f3n y de los par\u00e1metros asociados al modelo.  la fomulaci\u00f3n incorpora expl\u00edcitamente las realaciones de dependencia en la estructura de las matrices. La formulaci\u00f3n matricial se usa para comparar los tipos de an\u00e1lisis de la planficaci\u00f3n existentes y con el nuevo m\u00e9todo presentado en la tesis.
