Aunque varias pueden ser las causas responsables de este tipo de deterioro, la \u00f3smosis es una de las m\u00e1s frecuentes.  las pinturas marinas actuan como membranas semipermeables, permitiendo el paso del agua a trav\u00e9s de ellas, cuando la salinidad a ambos lados de la pel\u00edcula(interfase acero pintura- agua exterior) es diferente. Este es el principal mecanismo de la formacion de ampollas por procesos osm\u00f3ticos.  en este trabajo se analiza la influencia de la interrelaci\u00f3n entre la salinidad del agua exterior y la salinidad de la contaminaci\u00f3n en la intercara acero-pintura, en la formaci\u00f3n de ampollas producidas por \u00f3smosis. Asimismo, tambi\u00e9n se estudia la infuencia del espesor del recubrimiento, as\u00ed como la del tipo de pintura del mismo.  para llevar a cabo este estudio, se ha utilizado clorocaucho pigmentado con \u00f3xidos de hierro, as\u00ed como clorocaucho pigmentado con aluminio laminar. las pinturas han sido aplicadas sobre probetas de acero laminado en fr\u00edo, contaminadas con diferentes niveles de naci. Las probetas se han mantenido inmersas en cubetas, que conten\u00edan disoluciones de naci a diferentes concentraciones.  la evaluaci\u00f3n del grado de ampollamiento, se ha llevado a cabo mediante
