Primero se obtiene el mannich tiofeno y la 1,4-di-(-2-tienil)-1,4-butanodiona. A partir de \u00e9sta se prepara el mon\u00f3mero por una reacci\u00f3n de paal-knorr, se purifica con carb\u00f3n activo y presenta un punto de fusi\u00f3n de 94,6-96,5 grados c. la voltamperometr\u00eda en acentonitrilo-licio4 0,1 m sobre pt muestra un proceso reversible entre 0 y 1 v asociado al primer estado de oxidaci\u00f3n del poli(sss). El pol\u00edmero se ha sintetizado a densidades de corriente inferiores a 1 ma cm-2 y se obtinen films adherentes, cosa que permite seguir las cin\u00e9ticas de crecimiento.
