Se han sintetizado fragmentos helicoidales de esta prote\u00edna en fase s\u00f3lida (mon\u00f3meros) y en soluci\u00f3n (d\u00edmeros). Se ha estudiado la estructura secundaria que adoptan todos estos p\u00e9ptidos por dicroismo circular, y algunos de ellos se han estudiado por resonancia magn\u00e9tica nuclear.  se ha realizado un estudio de interacciones helicoidales por formaci\u00f3n de puente disulfuro que ha revelado la preferencia por la disposici\u00f3n antiparalela de los mon\u00f3meros de la uteroglobina.  el p\u00e9ptido utg(1-28,29-70) representa la mitad de la uteroglobina y puede formar una pseudouteroglobina por dimerizaci\u00f3n no-covalente con otra mol\u00e9cula de heterod\u00edmero.  se han llevado a cabo aproximaciones al escalado de la s\u00edntesis convergente de la uteroglobina y se ha expresado la prote\u00edna en e.
