Dolores <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Esta memoria de tesis doctoral describe la b\u00fasqueda de nuevos compuestos con actividad biol\u00f3gica y est\u00e1 estructurada en dos partes:  en la primera, se aborda el estudio qu\u00edmico de los componentes citot\u00f3xicos de la esponja dactylospongia elegans recogida en malasia. Se muestra el modo en el que se lleva a cabo el aislamiento, purificaci\u00f3n y determinaci\u00f3n estructural de los principales metabolitos secundarios presentes en dicha esponja. Las estructuras de dichos compuestos se determinan empleando diversas t\u00e9cnicas espectrosc\u00f3picas y transformaciones qu\u00edmicas. Se han identificado de este modo siete compuestos ya descritos en la bibliograf\u00eda: un sesquiterpeno hidroquin\u00f3nico (ilmaquinona); cuatro sesquiterpenos ciclopenten\u00f3nicos (dactylospongenonas-a -d); un sesquiterpeno benc\u00e9nico (dictyoceratin -c) y un derivado terp\u00e9nico de 16 \u00e1tomos de carbono (\u00e1cido smenosp\u00f3ngico). Se han aislado adem\u00e1s, dos nuevos compuestos, denominados \u00e1cidos dacyltr\u00f3nicos, con actividad citot\u00f3xica frente a las l\u00edneas celulares p-388 y a-549 con valores de ic50 de 10 -g\/ml. Se realizan ensayos que suqieren que el \u00e1cido smenosp\u00f3ngico puede tener su origen en los \u00e1cidos dactyltr\u00f3nicos.  en la segunda, se describe la adici\u00f3n de ox\u00edgeno singlete a teba\u00edna, reacci\u00f3n que resulta ser una ruta muy eficiente para la obtenci\u00f3n de compuestos morfinicos con grupos oxigenados en los carbonos c6 y c14, y que abre una nueva v\u00eda hacia compuestos tales como oxicodona, oximorfona, naloxona&#8230; todos ellos importantes por su actividad farmacol\u00f3gica. Como resultado de la fotooxidaci\u00f3n se obtiene una mezcla de dos compuestos: un hidrodibenzofurano y un benzofurano. se lleva a cabo la fotooxidaci\u00f3n de teba\u00edna y derivados en distintas condiciones experimentales (disolventes, longitud de onda, temperatura, ph).
