El modelo fue valido con tres animales y se demostr\u00f3 su utilidad procedi\u00e9ndose a la segunda fase que fue realizada en dos grupos de animales.  dos grupos de animales se intervinieron con este modelo b\u00e1sico de flujo. El primer grupo consta de 9 animales a los que se le reseco un segmento de vena cava inferior sustituy\u00e9ndolo por vena il\u00edaca del mismo animal, y el segundo lo forman 8 animales en los que la vena cava se sustituy\u00f3 por una pr\u00f3tesis de ptfe de pared fina anillada.  se realizaron medidas de presi\u00f3n venosa antes y despu\u00e9s de la cirug\u00eda as como flebograf\u00eda de control.  se siguieron durante 12 semanas y los animales fueron flebografiados de nuevo y se les extrajo el injerto para su estudio an\u00e1tomo-patol\u00f3gico. la permeabilidad fue del 100% para el grupo i y del 15% para el grupo ii.  se analizan los datos y controles postoperatorios inmediatos y tard\u00edos y se concluye que el modelo experimental es \u00fatil para la investigaci\u00f3n de materiales de sustituci\u00f3n en la vena cava y que el sustituto ideal para la vena cava es el injerto venoso ya que se adapta a las condiciones de flujo de sector
